Oh, Those Nasty SINS of Others!

“For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
- Jesus (Mt. 6: 14-15; ESV)

I have to wonder sometimes just how much we WANT to be forgiven, or how much we actually HAVE been forgiven.

One thing I’ve never had a lot of use for is a spirit of dissension and self-righteousness. It never ceases to amaze me how so many people are so quick to point out the flaws in others, and yet be completely oblivious to the stench in their own lives. What’s worse is when one sees Christians, presumably believing that “there is no one righteous(Romans 3:10), ironically oblivious to the fact that the same verse applies to them. How is that even possible? This is Christian love? Really? No, it is pseudo-Christian hypocrisy! Imagine if God treated us the way we treat others? God have mercy! ๐Ÿ˜ž

Caveat: I realize that in many ways what I wrote above is very simplistic and does not include a lot of other factors. As someone once said, “There is always another side to the story,” just as there is always another opinion or ten. Still, the Bible also says in the so-called “Love Chapter” (1 Corinthians 13), “if I have not love, I am nothing.” Are we “nothing?” Still, I have even heard people debate that! So with that, I stand by what I said and will leave this little rant alone … for now. Peace.
