A Biographical Sketch

Who is Will Rochow?

First and foremost, he is a Christian. He is also a college graduate and a seminary graduate, majoring in Theology, who went on to become a Baptist pastor. After having served three Alberta churches, he left the traditional institutional church system, and began participating in a non-institutional and more organic form of Christian fellowship. As a result, sometimes Will muses that he is now an outlaw preacher. A mid-life career change meant another educational opportunity, this time in a technological institution, to study Power Engineering. Combined with his time in the trucking and heavy equipment industries (and others), Will has been blessed with a rather unique combination of skills and experiences.

One of the more interesting and unique projects that Will had worked on as a part of his early morning devotions was the creation of a multi-volume hand-written Bible. This project (Genesis through Revelation) took three years to complete. Currently he is working on a similar project, that of creating of a hand-written copy of The Gospel According to John in the original Koine Greek. Will is also one of several contributing authors of two published books; Finding Church: Stories of Leaving, Switching, and Reforming, as well as, Simple Church: Unity Within Diversity.

Will is a humorist who loves a good laugh. Puns and one-liners are a common part of his repertoire, a trait that he shares with his father and brothers. Other interests that occupy Will's time include motorcycling, music, extensive reading, linguistics, and walks with man's best friend. In the warmer months, Will can often be found enjoying the outdoors on his deck playing a game of Cribbage with, as he sometimes jokes, his favourite wife. Though still actively working at a great career in the healthcare industry, he muses that he is now a retiree in training.

Will and Ginny have been married for forty years. They are the parents of one daughter and two sons, though their eldest son died as an infant. They have two grandchildren and two grand-puppies. Their household is further made complete with a beautiful 56-kilo (123-pound) fur-baby; a rescue dog who ironically rescued them as as much as they rescued her.

Will and Ginny live in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
